http://playitrightguitar.com - A video demonstrating How To Play Welcome To The Jungle Cover by Guns n Roses. Welcome to the Jungle was the second song released by the Hollywood rock band Guns n Roses. It was released as a single in 1987 and then again a few months later as the opening song on the band's debut album Appetite for Destruction. Initially the song was only released in the UK where it reached number 27 in the top 40 charts. After the band had become successful, the band released the single again in the USA where it reached number 7 on the billboard chart. Although the song is thought to have been written about Los Angeles, Axl Rose has said that he wrote the lyrics to the song after an encounter with a homeless man in New York who shouted at him "You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby; you're gonna die!" Slash recalled in his autobiography that the song came about after the band were trying to write new material and Axl reminded Slash of a riff he heard him play while he was living in his mother's basement. The song grew from there and Duff is in fact credited with coming up with the main breakdown riff. The song is deemed as a classic and considered one of the greatest rock n roll songs of all time as it has so many famous parts to it. The iconic guitar intro with the delay effect, the main riff, the Welcome To The Jungle Guitar Solo solo and the singalong chorus. This Welcome To The Jungle Guitar Lesson demonstrates how to play all these parts. The equipment I used to record this song was an Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top, and the AmpKit amp on my iPhone. The preset I used was Modern Metal Lead for the dirty/crunch parts, and Modern clean for the clean part in the middle 8.
