Motivation the past couple of weeks has been somewhat difficult to find. I am so ready for the arctic temperatures to dissipate to give way to the beautiful powdery snows that often fall in February. There is nothing worse than looking out of your window and seeing a beautiful sunny day and then stepping out only to feel your nose freeze from the inside out and your finger tips to quickly lose any sensation. Mother nature and her not so nice tricks! She needs to make up her mind and either let it snow when it is cold or let it be warm when the ground is bare! I am trying to keep my sanity and keep my eyes on the prize Marine Corp Marathon and not let this endless frozen winter drive me over the edge. Thankfully I have some of the most amazing women to run and race with in my life who are strong in ways more than just the physical. When I am having trouble finding motivation or need some inspiration I seek out my running "soul mates" and get out on the road to inner zen. When I am challenged by a race, by a tough workout or a mountain to climb they become my extra strength.
